Raasleela Bridal Fashion Week Canada 2018 begins this weekend in Vancouver and Surrey, and continuing on to Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto in the only cross-Canada bridal extravaganza catering to Asian communities. This event is a diverse and multi-cultural experience that brings the world’s best bridal designers, jewelers, and wedding vendors together under one banner.

This year BFWC kicks off in style at the Fairmont Waterfront on April 14th with a VIP Gala Dinner curated by Executive Chef Karan Suri followed by two days of exquisite designs from favourites JJ Valaya, Rohit Bal, Sabyasachi Mukherje, and many more.

Weekend attendees of BFWC will enjoy a wedding extravaganza featuring top Asian national and international designers from India, Pakistan, USA, and Canada, as well as an exhibition area and Bollywood dance and a secret famous Bollywood singer leading the entertainment.

JJ Valaya: Founder of the House of Valaya, global brand ambassador of Swarovski, and has his designs worn by GCC royal and celebrities including Joseph Fiennes and Cate Blanchett.

Sabyasachi Mukherje: Recognized by Harper’s Bazaar Bride as one of the 10 Best Indian Bridal Designers. Drawing inspiration from Monet and Matisse, he pioneered the use of Indian textiles in a modern context.

Hannah Tikkanen: Designing from Vancouver, she finds inspiration in the ever-changing natural environment of the Pacific West Coast.

Parvesh Jai: This designer duo define their brands as ‘that glow that lives in all our eyes.’ Having shown at major fashion weeks around the world and selected as one of the Top 25 Ethical Designers from around the Globe by ethical society, NYC.

Samant Chauhan: Three years after graduating, Samant was showing at Singapore Fashion Week and the following year, London Fashion Week. This rising star is passionate about working with native Bhagalpur master weavers and experiencing more careers highs.

Manish Malhotra: Another favourite of Harper’s Bazaar, Manish has designed for many leading actresses in Bollywood such as Sridevi, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoo, and international celebrities Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
